Inspiration

“Colours and shapes are fundamental for me; I often see my surroundings in pictures. More seldom, though,
I enjoy those that in general are considered beautiful but more often urban environs such as abandoned houses,
old industrial buildings, rust, concrete or withered flowers.

In my creative work I frequently return to people, faces, assorted fragments of life, solitude and relationships.
Those issues as a form of searching for the sense of self fascinates me.

Photography and digital art, often mixed with my paintings, together with sculpture and sometimes videos
are the tools in which I preferably express myself, maybe because it´s in the narrative art that I feel most at home.

My artwork has it´s roots in street-, graffiti- and pop art, as art forms they give me the most creative inspiration.
When it comes to my own artistic method I rarely have a plan.

As a person I am impulsive and this probably also reflects in my artistry.
Furthermore I feel that detailed plans for my work destroy the excitement of discovering new fictional worlds.

I prefer to create intuitive, fragments from my memories mixed with unconscious, inner sensations, without logical connections.
My photographical art is composed of my own photos, which I put together, layer by layer.

I work both abstract and figurative but regardless, my pieces often tend to express a dreamlike state and shun realism.
These type of art is printed either on canvas, Fine Art Paper, HD Floating Metal Fine Art Print, fabrics or plexiglass.

Through my art, I strive to capture a feeling but I also want to tell a story,
a story that´s not only mine but probably also yours, together with everyone else´s.”
